How It Works
When is the festival?
The Festival will be from 10am-4pm on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Open access times for individual sites vary.
Do I need tickets?
This is a FREE public event — no tickets or reservations needed, but RSVP on Facebook to keep updated! Lines may be expected at certain locations. Volunteers and other supporters of the Festival are offered priority access.
Where can I get my Event Guide?
You can view a PDF version of our event guide here. There will also be printed event guides available at all sites on the day of the festival!

Which sites are wheelchair accessible?
We want to make this Festival fun for everyone. Each participating site’s page has information on the wheelchair accessibility of that site. The wheelchair accessible entrance to a given site may not be immediately visible, but just ask the volunteer at the entrance and they will help make accommodations for you. If you have additional questions about the accessibility of a particular site, please reach out to us at info@doorsopenri.org.
Where can I use the bathroom?
We cannot guarantee bathroom access at individual sites. However, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council (175 Main St #4127, Pawtucket) has agreed to open their restroom facilities to all festival attendees from 10am-4pm on September 28th. While you’re there, check out their exhibits about the the entire Blackstone Valley!
How do I get around the Festival?
Doors Open RI is committed to minimizing the impact of our Festival on the environment, and encourage you to travel green. There are many ways to explore festival sites: walk, ride your bike or take the bus! Downtown Pawtucket is especially conducive to traveling by foot.
Street parking is available around many festival sites. During your visit to downtown Pawtucket, visitors are welcome to park for free and for any amount of time in the parking lot across from Pawtucket City Hall (approximately 150 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket) during the festival. Please do not park in the area designated for police parking. Parking is also available outside the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council (175 Main St., Pawtucket).
Is this the only Doors Open Festival?
Our Festival is part of a worldwide movement of citywide Doors Open and Open House events connecting the public to the great places and spaces of their communities. Doors Open RI previously held such a festival featuring 24 places across Providence in 2017, visited by more than 4,000 people!
