WALK DESCRIPTION
For many, North Main is a pass-through – an inhospitable street characterized by dangerous traffic, empty lots, limited services, and few places to stop and sit. However, North Main also has several assets and a rich history. In recent years, community members and key stakeholders have come together to reflect on North Main’s past & envision a new future – as a vibrant neighborhood corridor with improved economic activity, housing, transportation options & public open space. Join us for a participatory stroll on North Main, from North Burial Ground & the Moshassuck River, past sites of history & opportunity up to the Pawtucket line. Bring your North Main stories, ideas, hopes & dreams!
