WALK DESCRIPTION
This walk will feature the murals and odd art installations on & around Wickenden Street in Fox Point. We will be stopping at each piece to respond to it via writing and conversation, and will even get a little into the weeds about what exactly public art is.
WALK LEADER: C.J. Opperthauser
C.J. is a Wickenden Street resident with a Master’s in poetry. He works for Grow Smart RI & is on the board of the Rhode Island Bicycle Coalition. He also co-organizes PechaKucha Providence as well as Tour de Tentacle, leads kayak tours on the river, & volunteers with WaterFire Providence, the Providence Downtown Neighborhood Association, the Providence Preservation Society, Doors Open RI, & NecronomiCon Providence. His free time is skinny.
